Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
Affinity Matchmaking respects your privacy and understands that matchmaking requires trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website, join the Affinity Singles Database, inquire about or purchase matchmaking services, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Affinity.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with Affinity, we may collect information including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or age, city and state, gender, relationship status, family information, relationship goals, dating and partner preferences, lifestyle information, photographs, and other information you voluntarily provide.
Individuals being considered for matchmaking services or introductions may choose to provide additional information about their background, values, interests, relationship history, lifestyle, compatibility preferences, and other information relevant to evaluating a potential connection.
We may also collect information submitted through our website, forms, consultation scheduling system, email communications, and other services used to operate Affinity.
2. Sensitive and Personal Information
Matchmaking naturally involves information that may be personal or sensitive.
You are not required to provide information beyond what Affinity requests or what you are comfortable sharing. Information voluntarily provided to Affinity may be used to evaluate compatibility, provide matchmaking services, communicate with you, and facilitate potential introductions.
Affinity does not sell database members’ personal information to third parties.
3. The Affinity Singles Database
Joining the Affinity Singles Database is free.
Membership in the database allows Affinity to consider you when evaluating potential matches. Joining the database does not mean Affinity is actively searching for a partner on your behalf and does not guarantee that you will receive an introduction or match.
Information submitted to the Singles Database may remain in Affinity’s records until you request removal or Affinity determines that the information should be removed or deactivated.
You are responsible for notifying Affinity if your relationship status, contact information, dating availability, or desire to participate changes.
You may request removal from the Affinity Singles Database at any time by contacting info@affinitymatchmaking.com.
Affinity may also remove or deactivate a database profile at its discretion, including when information appears inaccurate or outdated, an individual is no longer eligible to participate, inappropriate conduct occurs, or continued participation is not considered appropriate for the Affinity community.
4. Potential Matches and Introductions
When Affinity identifies a possible connection, we may contact you to confirm that you are still single, available, and interested in being considered for an introduction.
We may also request additional information, updated photographs, or a conversation before proceeding.
Affinity may initially discuss a potential match using limited or non-identifying information to determine whether there may be mutual interest.
Affinity will not intentionally disclose your direct contact information or personally identifying profile information to a potential match for purposes of an introduction without your permission.
When both individuals express interest in proceeding, Affinity may share mutually approved information for the purpose of facilitating the introduction.
Participation in any introduction is voluntary.
5. Private and Concierge Matchmaking
Individuals who engage Affinity for paid matchmaking services may provide more detailed information than individuals who participate only in the free Singles Database.
This information may be used to understand the client’s relationship goals, evaluate potential matches, conduct searches and recruitment, facilitate introductions, provide matchmaking guidance, and administer the client relationship.
Specific services, fees, terms, and responsibilities associated with paid matchmaking will be governed by the applicable client agreement.
6. How We Use Your Information
Affinity may use information we collect to operate the Singles Database; evaluate potential compatibility; provide matchmaking and related services; communicate with you; respond to inquiries; schedule consultations; facilitate introductions; maintain business records; improve Affinity’s services and website; protect Affinity and its members from inappropriate or fraudulent activity; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for internal business analysis where the information no longer reasonably identifies an individual.
7. Photographs
Affinity may request recent photographs when an individual is being considered for an introduction or participating in paid matchmaking.
Providing a photograph for matchmaking purposes does not give Affinity permission to publish that photograph publicly.
Affinity will obtain separate permission before intentionally featuring an individual or their photograph publicly, including as a Featured Single on Affinity’s website or social media.
8. Service Providers
Affinity may use trusted third-party services to operate portions of the business, including website hosting, forms and data storage, scheduling, email communications, payment processing, digital-product delivery, and other business functions.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their respective services and operate under their own privacy and security practices.
Affinity currently may use services such as Wix, Google, Calendly, Payhip, and other providers supporting our business operations.
9. Payments
Payment information for paid services or digital products may be processed by third-party payment providers.
Affinity does not necessarily receive or store complete payment-card information when transactions are processed through an external payment provider.
Payment transactions may also be subject to the privacy policies and terms of the applicable payment provider.
10. Information Sharing
Affinity does not sell or rent its Singles Database to marketers or other dating services.
We may share information when reasonably necessary to provide services you have requested; facilitate an introduction with your permission; work with service providers supporting Affinity’s operations; protect the safety, rights, property, or integrity of Affinity or others; comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; or complete a business transaction involving Affinity where legally permitted.
11. Background Checks and Vetting
Affinity may use various methods to evaluate or vet individuals before certain introductions. The nature and extent of screening may vary depending on the circumstances and service involved.
No screening process can guarantee that all information provided by an individual is complete or accurate or that an individual will behave safely or appropriately.
Members and clients remain responsible for exercising their own judgment and taking appropriate precautions when communicating with or meeting another person.
Additional dating-safety information is provided in Affinity’s Dating Safety Guidelines.
12. Data Security
Affinity takes reasonable administrative and technological measures intended to protect personal information.
However, no website, electronic communication, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You provide information electronically with this understanding.
13. Data Retention and Removal
Affinity may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Singles Database, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Singles Database participants may request removal from active matchmaking consideration at any time by contacting Affinity.
A removal request may not require Affinity to immediately erase every record where retention is reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, contractual, backup, or legitimate business-record purposes.
14. Eligibility
Affinity’s services are intended for adults 18 years of age or older.
Individuals participating in the Singles Database or being considered for romantic introductions must be legally eligible and genuinely available to pursue a relationship.
15. Communications
By submitting your contact information, you authorize Affinity to communicate with you regarding your inquiry, database participation, potential matches, consultations, matchmaking services, transactions, or other matters directly related to your relationship with Affinity.
Marketing communications, where applicable, may be subject to additional consent and opt-out requirements.
16. Third-Party Websites and Services
Affinity’s website may link to third-party websites or services, including scheduling, payment, social-media, and digital-product platforms.
Affinity is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party websites or services.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Affinity may update this Privacy Policy as the business, services, technology, or legal requirements evolve.
The current version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
